The origins of HEMP HOP
American Rapper, Music Label Executive, and Serial Entrepreneur, Rick Ross has been in the music industry since his debut album, Port of Miami, dropped in 2006. Since then Rick Ross has amassed over 15 million fans on social media, released 10 albums, and has been able to secure a number of lucrative endorsement deals with Fortune 500 companies such as Reebok. Rick Ross is known for his business savvy and ability to consistently generate income from multiple revenue streams outside of music production. Rick Ross’s primary motivation for this business venture is personal, however.
On October 14th, 2011 Ross suffered a seizure that would change his life forever. Upon waking up from a 3-day coma, Rick Ross was told by doctors that the only thing that had kept him alive prior to admittance to the hospital was his size and thus he needed to immediately adjust his lifestyle. Since then Rick Ross has adopted a healthier lifestyle and has been outspoken about the medical benefits of Hemp and CBD.
“I truly believe in the health benefits of Hemp derived products,” said Ross, co-founder of Hemp Hop Smokables. “Having had my own health scares, and through my healing process, I decided I would develop a line of smokables to help others with the benefits of Hemp cannabinoids.”
